With its slender, fast neck, the Taylor 150e 12-string acoustic-electric guitar gives you Taylor’s signature playability and tonal clarity in an exceptionally high-value package. This guitar’s dreadnought body delivers robust low-end response that balances beautifully with the silky octave shimmer, for a tone that’s lush, yet articulate, with tons of dynamic range. The 150e features layered Sapele back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top, for vibrant tone with healthy projection. And when you take the stage with your 150e, Taylor’s Expression System electronics amplify that great tone to perfection. This guitar is used but is in very good condition. There is a minor scuff of the back of the body of the guitar. The scuff does not affect the pliability or sound of the guitar.
- Sitka Spruce Top with Sapele Back and Sides

This Taylor 150E is used but in pretty good condition. Functionally, this guitar is mostly there but exhibits as few quirks. The tuning machines are firmly attached and hold tune, and there is is some light wear on the frets. The truss rod is mostly adjusted, but the action is still a little high, good for a first position strummer but like many 12 strings would likely need some lutherie work to get the neck playing nice and low. The bridge and pickguard are firmly attached with no signs of separation, and the glue is beginning to show on the neck joint, but it should be solid with proper care and maintenance. The built in preamp functions as intended and is still firmly in place.
Aesthetically, the guitar still looks great with some minor wear. There are no major cracks or dings around the edges of the headstock or the binding on the body, and there is no uneven fading or discoloration from age. There is some light signs of use on the fretboard itself, and some minor to moderate pick scratching on and around the pickguard, and there is one scratch on the front right lower bout near the edge. There is also a nickel sized scratch on the back left side of the body, otherwise there is only slight general wear consistent with age.
This is the perfect guitar for someone looking for a simple 12 string strummer on a budget or a prospecting luthier looking for a practice project, and is a bargain at this price.
