This particular mandolin is used but in excellent condition. Functionally, the all of the moving parts are in great working condition. The tuning machines still turn properly and there is no scratchiness or stickiness on the knobs. The tailpiece is firmly attached and has the original cover. The frets show very little wear and have lots of life left in them.
Aesthetically, the instrument is near perfect. There is no rust or corrosion on any of the chrome parts, and there are no divots or marking on the fretboard. There is no scratching or checking on the front or back of the body, and there is no discoloration on the finish. Overall, this would make a great intermediate mandolin for someone looking to take the next step, or a simple backup mandolin for an experienced player. Don’t let this one get away!
